Corona / Quarantine Scrap Regrowth

No success on scallions, sadly. The new bunch I took the green open “branches” off and put the rest into a jar with water on the counter, like flowers. Let’s see.

Do you usually have stubbly roots at the ends of your green onions? The US green onions will usually have the full head and then a bit of roots attached that have been trimmed. I usually don’t like the white part as much, so I usually leave a good inch or inch and a half (3-4 cm) when I stick them in the small jars to re-grow.

The roots are not trimmed. (Well, I see trimmed with leek). I like the white part as well as the green. Thanks, will try to leave more white part next time.
