Great report, you had some really good eats!!

There were kiosks and a food truck bundled up for the winter. So, yes some food available but not like Liam’s!

Just bumping this thread to ask for anyone in the know for recommendations for spots open in early April anywhere from say Dennis to Orleans area.
Have been to Mac’s and enjoyed it, sadly it looks like our favorite the Chatham pier will not be open to eat and seal watch when we are there.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

The Knack and The Yard Arm are two of our favorites for casual bites as well as the Land Ho. We also head towards Dennis and hit the Scargo Cafe on occasion. Eat Cake For Breakfast is one of our favorite local bakeries, but the line can be intimidating.

Bumping the thread. We last min booked a week on the Cape. I’ll certainly hit up my favorite spots but seeing if there is anything new and exciting.

Thanks for bumping this string, we are heading back to Wellfleet in October.
Saw this spot in a Boston Globe story and we’ve put it on the list to check out.

Thanks! We will be trying to get a whale watch in this time so may try to go there for lunch/dinner.

I’ll post about any particularly good meals while we are up. We will be a little further south in Eastham.

We stay in Orleans periodically and have always enjoyed the bar at the Rock Harbor Grill. Good food and interesting people.

More P-Town intel

Posting a bit of a mash up of some of our various eats from Cape Cod. Great trip. GORGEOUS weather. The most outrageously good whale watching. We also did a very fun and informative kayak tour through the marshes that I would absolutely recommend. Most of these are in Eastham, sorry for the lack of pics. I was on vacation!

Basco Grill - https://bascogrill.com/ - We did a quick dinner here, fresh, reasonable prices. Seemed to do a strong takeout business but we ate in.

Caroline’s - www.carolinescapecodbarandgrill.com/ - We came here 2x for dollar oysters. WOW. I could eat dozens and dozens of these. They were DELICIOUS. I don’t know if they do this outside of summer but 3:30 - 5 Monday - Thursday.

Sir Crickets - Orleans - https://nausetfishandlobsterpool.com/sir-crickets-fish-n-chips I absolutely love this place. Been going there since I was a kid. My ideal lobster roll without a bunch of nonsense (no lettuce, celery, blah blah blah). Also split a fisherman’s platter which was fantastic.

Casa del Cabo - https://casadelcaboeastham.com/ - REALLY good. Started with a ceviche and I had this delightful (and enormous) grilled chicken. My husband had monkfish which was also delicious and not enormous at all. Would absolutely recommend. Very beautiful outdoor dining with blankets if you got chilly.

Last meal of the trip was at Barley Neck Inn (Orleans) https://www.barleyneck.com/ A perfect martini and a very lovely fish pate. Our mains were quite good. Korean fish tacos and a suspiciously light lobster pasta. But our server, Scott, was exceptional.

Light on pasta? Light on lobster?

I got a postcard last year from a friend who’d gone to Eastham for the annual Turnip Festival. I so want to go someday.
