[BROOKLYN] BITES - Good, Bad, Meh?

Had a fantastic impromptu brunch experience at Rana 15 yesterday after church - has to be one of the food bargains of the city at this point for such excellence at 35 per person for a bit more delicious food than the two of us could handle!

We had the menemen and it was a LARGE serving with an egg for each of us, much better than the three renditions I have had in Istanbul at respected venues; the pancakes were surprisingly rich, tender and delicious and were excellently partnered with honey and a very good sample of kaymak (clotted cream), or a freshly made fruit compote or even the tahini/grape molasses mixture favored by turks. Nice big serving of spinach and cheese boreks, delicious coins of fried soujouk (made me a fan) and 7 0r 8 multiple warm and cold vegetable and cheese dishes each distinct, tasty and interesting, completed the array. I loved the artichoke slivers cooked in oil and lemon with herbs and surprisingly what looked like fried potatoes with tomato sauce but turned out to be nicely heated with green chile in the sauce and include fried eggplant as well. Go! I know @Ziggy has mentioned this before - I should have taken him up on it but we rarely get a chance for brunch. Too bad an excellent photographer wasnt there to rearrange the dishes for visibility, remove the water glasses from view and do it justice
