Last dinner at our beloved Thai place. We shared the Oysters Explosion
i.e. raw oysters with the restaurant’s fiery ‘seafood sauce,’
the duck breast laab (extra spicy)
the moo ping (a nice reprieve from the heat for our tortured taste buds)
and finally, a whole grilled sea bass with a very spicy red coconut curry, lime & lime leaves
The food made me cry — in a good way, and I would’ve loved to have finished my last small beer of Helles to cool my tongue… instead of having our server knock it over and spill it all over my lap
The food made us cry again this morning, but that’s par for the course
