IIRC, there was a smallish bowl of rice, but not really an amount that anyone could fill up on.

At the end of an omakase in Okayama, needed just a little more. Requested tomago kake gohan, egg on rice. Simple and beautiful.

A bowl of steaming fresh Japanese rice with a brilliant Japanese egg, very pleased.
