To this thread I’ll just add that we can certainly vouch for the reopened Asador Araneta (Araneta Erretegia) in Zestoa. It looks the same, with the same grill meister and was packed with families on a Sunday afternoon.
Having had a wonderful txuleta 2 days before at Herriko Taberna Mikel Bengoa in Meñaka, outside of Mungía (put this one on your list), we decided to forgo the txuleta here (we had 3 already on this trip!) and ordered txangurro (spider crab) and solomillo with foie plus pantxineta for dessert. And a bottle of Amaren from Samaniego.
So, Ziggy, you can now return!
