From reports for friends, barbecue seems to be breaking out in Portland. I’ve heard of three places – Salvage, Nobel, and Wilson County. I haven’t been able to get to Maine because of, well, you know. Has anyone been to one, or know of others I should check out between lobster rolls when I do get to Maine – not limited to Portland?

Not Portland but if you get up to the Mid Coast, specifically Rockland, you should definitely try Up in Smoke BBQ.
