I consider $3 an oyster very fair now! By comparison, the new Clarkes Oyster Bar in Menlo Park (which I have not tried but is on my list and very much in my normal range) is $4.50 an oyster now compared to my prior post in 2021.
This is menlo park where a lobster roll on the same menu is $45 and a hamburger is $25 and catch of the day rnages from $40 to $50, so that’s just prices these days.
Left bank down the street is $24 for 6, eg $4, which I had previously quoted as $3. I’d be much happier with $3! And LB only has one kind of oyster (whatever they have) and last time I had them I didn’t love them. I still go there for the moules, which they tend to not overcook.
