Better Butter Buyers Be aware! Organic Salted Horizon 1lb of pasture raised butter is 2.99. It’s a great deal for my neck of the woods (oregon). It is hit or miss, with about 50% of the local GOs having it.
Marina (Monterey Bay):
Talent gelato (I got mint chip) for $2
Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese popcorn, 15oz bag for $5. Delicious!
Wish they’d had that Horizon butter!
That makes it pretty unusable
Really? That’s not an issue I have. I just reduce the salt in the recipe to match. If I’m making scrambled eggs, I don’t add salt. If I’m making biscuits, I half the salt. That sort of thing. And the salt means the butter lasts forever…
We completely avoid salted butter as you can’t use it in anything for baking and even for cooking we prefer to be better able to control when and how we season dishes.

Agree with Morgan - I don’t bake any longer, so don’t need to care about salted vs unsalted butter. Spouse actually prefers salted butter, LOL. We use very little butter overall. Seldom use it in cooking, and not much salt either. Been on low-salt diets for decades.
Finally saw a box of Fly by Jing Zhong sauce at the PA location. No sightings of the other sauces, however. $4.99
I’m not a big butter user myself… But I have a high protein crepe recipe (egg white almond flour) that I LOVE and is basically a butter delivery system. Not that I can afford eggs

Without the app: April 2 – 8.
For some reason, Cadbury chocolate creme eggs are difficult to find in the wild–the original and the caramel versions dominate here. My local GO has the chocolate creme eggs, at 2 for a buck.
2lbs Frozen Tilapia at 8.99. Fish is really pricey lately and this is higher quality then I expected. Small but whole servings, not little pieces, and individually wrapped which is great. I will buy more of these.
Great price on Almond Flour / meal! 3.99$ for a 22oz bag. Thats 2.90 a lb. I use a ton of this in baking so was thrilled to stock up at this price.
The East Hayward GO has Point Reyes Bay Blue with Fennel. Not sure I’ve seen that variety before.
Our Medford store is getting a complete remodel which is very disorienting. Looks like the product mix is changing.
Lots of nosh signs.
In good news, several flavors of Chloe ice pops including my beloved blueberry for $1.99 a box.
