Report: Tahini Restaurant, SF Mission w/ PICS

I tried out Tahini for lunch. It’s a fast casual place that’s good and cheap.

Cute, colorful cat murals on the walls inside were fun. I took lots of pics.

I got the Authentic sandwich $9.95 w/ lamb & beef kifta. It comes w/ hummus, lettuce, red cabbage, tahini salad and 2 big pieces of meat. It’s a good size sandwich but it’s very messy! I used 5 napkins and wish I had more.

FREE tap water if you want. Cup by register, water near the tables.

They have other sandwiches start $9.95, plates $14.95, sides, and you can order for parties.

One unisex bathroom in the back. I recommend folks try the place out, it looks like business isn’t very busy on a Sat lunch.

That’s too bad, I liked their falafel sandwiches and their lamb and beef kifta. I thought it was kind of hidden away despite being on Mission. I wonder if that was a factor in the closing.

sad news, but I even wonder how it lasted for 2 years. Food was good, but not enough customers!
