Monterey bakeries news: Pavel's & Parker-Lusseau

With the spring break travel, and soon-to-arrive summer tourist season, some news about two well-known Monterey area bakeries that visitors might need to be aware of:

Paul and Johanna, owners of Pavel’s Backerei in Pacific Grove (Monterey County), have decided to slow down a bit by limiting their hours of operation. The bakery is now only open Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays, from 7am until they sell out.

There was a nice article in Monterey’s local paper on Parker-Lusseau Bakery’s Easter chocolates which are now on sale, but the web article didn’t include any of the photos! But a Google search pulled them up (along with some older photos, such as the delightful Halloween ghosts). I adore the turtles!
