[London] Breakfast at Coach & Horses, Greenwich

Looked around Greenwich Market for a breakfast spot just before 10am last Saturday, and realised that all the food stalls in the market had just started cooking.

We chanced upon Coach & Horses, which offered a small, compact breakfast menu - exactly what we were looking for.

  1. The Full English Breakfast

  2. Eggs Benedict

The advantage of an early start = the market was pretty quiet and calm at this hour, just before the crowds arrived a while later.

We happened across the Market quite by chance a few years ago. I have it in mind there’s different types of traders on different days but we were fortunate to catch it on a food day. Unfortunately, we found it after we’d had lunch. I thought it was excellent - although when I mentioned it on Chowhound, there was quite a dismissive response that the general view was that the food wasnt “up to scratch”. I remember getting a similar response about the Sunday food market on Brick Lane.

Just looking at the menu, do vegans actually eat feta cheese?

Vegan feta is readily available so I suppose that’s what they must sell. Obviously it isnt “real” feta.

OK, thanks. They must get asked often as to whether it is vegan or not.
