This is the newest expansion of the Ramen Tatsuya empire, which is a patio bar right next door to their east Austin location. The aesthetics are the real reason to go here: the entire space is outdoors, so the vibe tries to blend the atmospheres you’d find drinking in Japan while in alleyways and standing only spaces.
Drink menu has beer and some highball style drinks, while there’s also a food truck serving Japanese style curry and sausages which are smoked at Kemuri Tatsuya. Wasn’t thrilled with the food. The curry had a watery texture and flavors in general didn’t live up to the “23 spice” claim. In general, prices were high for small portions.
